Researching James and Mary
Clegg (ne O'Rourke) both aged 28 who, with their 4 year
old daughter Elizabeth, emigrated to Australia in 1856
from Bradford, York. James' parents were Joseph and
Hannah Clegg On 1881 census Joseph (77) and Hannah (60)were living at Windy Bank Lane, Liversedge, York |

I posted a search over two years ago,
and gave an old e-mail address. Any mail you sent
to that address I never saw. If anybody has any
help by way of answers to my query please send them to
the new e-mail address. Many thanks. I am looking for anybody who has any information about my uncle, Ernest Clegg, who lived in Scotland. He left for Australia at least thirty years ago. He is son to Thomas and Louise Clegg. He would have spent much of his time growing up in Mount Florida in Glasgow. He has two sisters, Ann and Nancy, and three brothers, Thomas, Louis and Francis. The family doesn't know what happend to him, as he was invovled in army intelligence. Does anybody know him or his whereabouts? |

at Emley, Yorkshire, England. Mary was her 6 x great grandmother. I've
only just found the link to this family so it is all new to me at the
moment! I am interested in filling in the details on all branches of the Clegg family that link in to the Emley branch of the Clegg family. |
